White, Mutch, Dougal, R. Beatie, o,Donnall.

The Officials for todays game are as follows...

Referee Mr C Carwell Linesman F.lee (red & white flag) &

Mr C.V. Bassett.(Blue & White flag)

Included in the Preston team is the one & only Bill Shankly, Also in the Runcorn

Team is Jack Search who went on to serve Everton as a director for many years.

The picture shows Jack Search scoring one of the two goals scored By Runcorn in the 

F.A. Cup game between Runcorn & Preston, The Preston goals were scored by 

Milne two Mutch & beatie.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

In the light of current events truly poignant words from an honourable chairman.

  

The game ended Runcorn 2-4 Preston NE.

Preston at the time of this game were the current F.A. cup holders,Bill Shankly who some 

years later was asked if he remembered the game said that yes he did, He remembered

playing against a big strong fella called Jack search.

I think Jack scored at least one of Runcorns goals but I am unsure if anyone out there

can help me with more details I would be greatfull...!!!

These above club notes are a mine of info note that Runcorn started in the lancashire

combination league & have indeed played at Anfield against Blackburn in the junior cup

Which they won 2-0.....!!!
