Today was Runcorns second win of the season out of ten games,
Not the best start to a new season but the win today should see us move a little
further up the league. Runcorn seemed to have a bit more purpose about them
today & although Hucknall were close to scoring an equaliser in the second
half they deserved the win, The referee seemed to think a draw would have been a
better result. After playing about 5 mins of injury time where this came from
only he knows!! Dave Nolan
was again outstanding & scored an excellent winning goal from a free kick
(see picture No 2)
Liam Watson scoring the first goal from a defensive mistake by Hucknall (see picture No 1). Goalkeeper Richard Acton made a number of good saves keeping Runcorn ahead. But could do nothing about the volley from Hucknalls Keiran Begley( see Picture No 7).
